Her parents came to Spencer county in 1814 but did not remain returning to the former home, they again removed to Spencer county 1824 and settled on a farm which is near Friendship Church where she has lived ever since. In 1834 she was married to Benjamin Hesson unto whom was born 10 children four of whom are living to mourn her departure. She was aged 84 years and 4 months .She leaves four sisters and one brother whom according to nature will soon follow. She was in her youthful days the sweetheart of the immortal Lincoln. She has been a member of the christian church for about 20 years in which faith she died. Mrs Hesson was a kind mother, good christian and loved and respected by all who knew her."
