Rita was born in Lee, MA, on September 15, 1915, a daughter of the late Edward and Minnie (Tyne) Cahalan. She was a graduate of Lee High School and studied at Berkshire Business School moving to Springfield in the early fifties to work for Milton Bradley Company until 1958 when she married Don Loso. Don and Rita built their home in East Longmeadow in 1959. They were members of St. Michaels Catholic Church in East Longmeadow for forty years. When Don retired in 1979, they created their own business of buying and refinishing antique furniture participating in various antique shows throughout New England for seventeen years. In 1996, they retired from their antique business and moved to Southwick. Rita is survived by her husband, of forty-eight years, Don Loso of Southwick, her Godson, Paul Heath, a niece, Kathleen (Cahalan) Plummer, a great nephew, Shawn Plummer, and a great niece, Colleen Plummer. Mrs. Losos funeral will be held on Saturday at 9A.M. from the Southwick Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 224 Sheep Pasture Road at 10A.M. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery."
