    Mrs. Myrtle M. Thomas, age 68, of New Freeport, was dead upon arrival at Greene County Memorial Hospital at 12:30 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 1970, following a short illness.
    She was born on August 13, 1901, in Center Township, the daughter of William W. and Myrtle Icie Meek.
    She was married to Francis O Thomas on August 27, 1921, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
    Mrs. Thomas resided most of her life in Jackson Township of Greene County, Pennsylvania.
    Surviving are her husband, Frank O. Thomas; four daughters; Mrs. Dorothy Pounds of Alliance, Ohio; Mrs. Kathleen Barringer of Holbrook; Mrs. Lillie Fordyce of New Freeport and Mrs. Patty McClelland of Graysville; five sons: Don of Painesville, Ohio; Eugene of Erwin, Tennessee; Russell of Sebring, Ohio; Harry of New Freeport; and Ray of Graysville; 43 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one sister, Mabel.
    Three sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
