Narrative: cites Poaeyville News, 18 Apr 1919 "Death came to Mrs. Eliza Cale at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Young early Wednesday morning, death being due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Cale fell some weeks ago and the shock hastened her death. She would have been ninety-one years of age soon. The deceased was the widow of the late Joseph Cale and lived her entire life in Posey County, being the daughter of Maxey and Nancy Jolly. The husband departed this life in 1903. After his death Mrs. Cale removed from the fine old country home in Smith township to Poseyville and made her home with her daughter. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. America Young, one son Ellison Cale who lives on the old homestead and two granddaughters, Mrs. Walter Thornton of Indianapolis and Mrs. James Kilroy, Jr. of Poseyville. The funeral will be held Friday in the Christian Church."
