Beloved husband of the late Venera Castronovo (2011) for 70 years. Dearly loved father of Carmelina Stante, Tonina (Frank) Sasso, Jacqueline Bortolussi and Jim (Rose) Castronovo. Predeceased by his parents Carmela and Vincenzo Castronovo, 9 brothers and sisters in Sicily and USA and son-in-law Bruno Bortolussi (2015). Cherished Nonno of Mary (Sam) Mangiacasale, Phyllis Stante, Lidia Stante, Michael (Marianne) Stante, Ralph (April) Sasso, Raffielina (Joe) Bulgaretti, Vincent (Carla) Sasso, Cristina Castronovo and Vincent Castronovo. Great-grandfather of 13 and great-great-grandfather of 8. Decimo was born in Grotte, Agrigento, Sicily and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Prior to his immigration, Decimo served in the Italian Army Infantry during World War II. Decimo’s occupation in Sicily was a Carpenter, and for several years he had his own shop in Grotte. Upon arriving in Canada he was employed at the Sheraton Brock Hotel until he retired in 1977. Decimo lived in his own home until age 102, and his passion was his garden and wine making. Decimo will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
