K. Morton & Sons, 1909), 21, reports that John Gainsford’s inquisition post mortem names his eldest son John as age 30 and more on 8 February 1450/1. Agnes was not named in John Gainsford’s will, but her identity as the sister of his sons John and William is confirmed by a court case (p. 18 in the Gainsford book, also discussed in Attree and Booker, 47:58–60) involving the abduction of Agnes’ daughters, Margery and Elizabeth Wakehurst, by Nicholas and Richard Culpepper, brothers of her second husband John Culpepper.
