Without vital records it is difficult to identify each, but it would seem that Mary, age 1 in the 1860 census, is the same person as Eugenia, age 10 in the 1870 census. Also, in 1850, ther are Mary J, age 7, and Mirah A, age 5, both recorded as female. In 1860, neither appears, but there is a son, Monroe J, age 16. It seems prob. that either Mary J or Mirah A was actually Monroe.3 |
