To the constables of York
Peter Wittum & Anniss his wife inhabitants of the town of Kittery came to reside in the town of York about the month of January last past & on the sixth day of March following were by order of the Select Men of sd town of York warned by Samuel Simpson . . . but [they] neglected to depart. One of the sd Constables accordingly the same day made his return that he had conveyed the sd Peter Wittum to the town of Kittery from whence he came, but that the sd Annis Wittum was not to be found.
