He attended elementary school at St. Aloysius and St. Joseph Cathedral; high school at St. Charles Preparatory, Columbus; completed Philosophy studies at St. Charles Seminary, Columbus; and Theology studies at Mount St. Mary of the West Seminary, Norwood, Ohio. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 26, 1956 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus by Most Reverend Michael J. Ready. During his priesthood, Fr. Fulcher served as an assistant at St. Michael, Worthington; St. Philip, Columbus; St. Mary Magdalene, Columbus; and Our Lady of Peace, Columbus. He also served in the capacity of an instructor at Hartley High School and as diocesan Director of Vocations. Fr. Fulcher served as pastor of St. Mary, Bremen and St. Edward's, Granville; Administrator of St. John and Holy Rosary parishes, Columbus; as pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Buckeye Lake; and as pastor of the Church of the Atonement in Crooksville. Father Fulcher retired on September 1, 2000. Preceded in death by parents George A. and Mary Lennon Fulcher; brothers Bishop George, William and Richard and sister Mary Lou (Fulcher) Snyder and infant Fulcher. Father is survived by sisters, Ellen (Felix) Merullo and Julie (James) Murrin; brother, Edward (Dolores) Fulcher; sisters-in-law, Gloria and JoAnn Fulcher; brother-in-law, Ned Snyder; and a number of nieces and nephews; also his best friends and care giver, Mary Lou Leckrone and children, the Paxton Family, Mike Snider and his family, and his many friends in Perry County and Columbus. Visitation will be at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST., Sunday 3-6 p.m. and at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 473 S. Roys Ave. on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass which will be held at 10:30 a.m. Private burial later at St. Joseph Cemetery."
