That whereas I have heretofore advanced the sum of ($1500.00) Fifteen hundred dollars, and which sum now bears eight years interest, to Mary Roach my eldest daughter and the wife of Ambrose Roach and whereas I desire that she continue to live in her present habitation known as No. 1905 Biddle Street, it is my will that in lieu of the share of my estate that would fall to her as above, she have said (1500.00) Fifteen hundred dollars and the interest thereon and that she have rent free the habitation that she now resides in so long as she may continue to occupy the same.
And I further will that the business now carried on in the house known as No. 1901 Biddle Street be carried on by my two sons John and William, though under the superintendence and control of their mother Catherine Hennessy, with the further modification and reservation that should either of them desire to quit said business and hold himself apart from its care and management, then if he elects, he may receive the sum of $2000.00 Two thousand dollars, the same to be in lieu of and in full of his share of my said estate, and it is my further will that my Executors pay over to my son Patrick Hennessy the sum of One thousand dollars and that to be the full share and in lieu of said sons share in my said estate, and it is my further desire that all the personal property of my estate at the time of my demise go to my beloved wife Catherine, that is not otherwise mentioned in this my last will and Testament, and I further desire that my beloved wife Catherine Hennessy and my oldest son John Hennessy be made, without bond, Executors of this my last will and Testament.
