[S380] Bragdon/Baldini and LeDoux/Auge, online familytreemaker.genealogy.com, viewed 31 Aug 2011, Thomas' daughter, Martha, married James Smith, Jr. James was the soul survivor of his family after the Indian attack at Salmon Falls. His father was dead and his mother and his siblings were captives in Canada.

Apparently their first child, John, was born before James and Martha were married. Their son Joseph was pretty close behind. James paid a substantial fine for the crime of "fornication" just before he and Martha married. This was obviously a major scandal because almost all of the judges, sheriffs, etc., were Bragdons.
