Jonathan Scott was born in Farmington, Connecticut Colony, about 1661, and died on May 15, 1745. Hannah Hawks was born in Hatfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts, in 1675, and died on April 7, 1744. They were married in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut Colony, in November, 1694. She took the name Hannah Scott. He is the son of Edmund and Elizabeth (Fuller) Scott. She is the daughter of John and Martha (Baldwin) Hawks. They had seven children:
i.[daughter] Scott was born in Waterbury in August, 1695, and died in August, 1695.
ii.Jonathan Scott was born in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut, on September 29, 1696. He married Mary Hurlburt, sister of his sister's husband.
