    In his will, dated 2 July 1722 and proved 1 October 1722 [Hector Maclane] makes small legacies to the children of his former wife, Anne Maclane, and appoints his present wife, Amy Maclane, executrix. He leaves his daughter Sarah Baley 80 acres of "Athol," where George Baley is settled, and 60 acres of "Hector's Fancy." He leaves his son John Maclane and his daughter Catherine Maclane all of "Hector's Chance," 300 acres, to be divided equally between them. He leaves his son William Maclane the home plantation consisting of adjacent tracts as follows: "Bought Well" (40 acres), 20 acres of "Athol," and 40 acres of "Hector's Fancy."
