Eighteen years ago she was left a widow with a family of four children, the oldest but 12 years old, and it is greatly to her credit that she was able to keep her little family together until they were old enough to care for themselves. She is survived by two daughters, Agnes, a teacher in the public schools of Chicopee; Minnie, who has been caring for her mother at home, and one son, John J., also at home. The funeral was held from St. Mary's church in Lee on Sunday at 2 p. m. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery in that town. The bearers were William H. Young and Thomas Burke of New York city, J. J. Dunning of Hartford Conn., F. F. Young of Dalton, M. E. Hoy of Becket and Henry F. Phelon of Lee. A large number of people from New York, Hartford, Springfield, Winsted and Becket and surrounding towns attended the funeral, among whom were: P. H. and William H Young.
