Will of Tyrck Van Keuren of Kingston, dated 27 May 1742 [corrections included].To my dear wife Maritie the use of my whole estate during her life. To my eldest son Matthew, the land he now lives upon, and the mill lying and being in Duchess Co., on the north side of a run of water named Specken Kill, he to pay £300 to my other children, deducting to himself 1/12. To my son Benjamin, and my daughter Sara, wife of William Van Vliet, all the land I bought of Thomas Saunders, in Dutchess Co., on the south side of my son Matthew's land, as they have it now in possession, they to pay £300, deducting one twelfth. To my sons Abraham and Jacobus, my dwelling house, barn, barriks, and smiths shop, and the ground thereto belonging, in Kingston and the tools and also the land I bought of my father, and of Hendrick Ten Eyck, and the orchards lying on both sides of the King's highway that leads to Hurley Town. Also a bond due to me from Jacob Rutsen, also one from William Harris, they to pay £400, deducting 1/12. All of my children who as yet have no set from me, shall have it equal in value to those which have already had it. To my daughters, Janeka, wife of Derick Westbrook, Tatie, wife of Joseph Du Bois, Catharine, wife of Arnold Vielen, Maritie, wife of Petrus Low, Rachel, wife of Derick Van Vliet, Elisabeth, and Lydia, the sums of money which are to be paid by my sons as above. Residue to all my children. Wife and sons appointed executors. Witnessed by Tyerck De Witt, Adam Persons, Cornells Persen. Proved Sept. 22, 1742.
