[S686] Basil Campbell, compiler, Prince Edward Island Newspapers, online www.caimbeul.org, THE DAILY EXAMINER, SATURDAY, JULY 28, 1900; DEATH: CAMPION - OBITUARY - At Chepstow, July 11th, after a long illness borne most christian-like, Mrs. Mary Campion, relict of George Campion, passed away leaving a family of two, Eliza, Mrs. Bernard Creamer, and Nellie, widow of Peter R. Fletcher, of Lawrence, Mass. Deceased was a devoted, zealous and most respected member of the Catholic church, and died strengthened by the rites of the church in which she worshipped during life. On Friday, July 13th, all that was mortal of Mrs. Campion was borne to St. Mary's church, Souris, where a solemn Requiem Mass was chanted, after which she was interred in the cemetery at Souris. A funeral, largely attended by the relatives, friends and those who had the pleasure of her acquaintance, formed a fitting testimony of the esteem in which the deceased was held. THE EXAMINER extends its deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
