- [S899] Fort Frances Times Online, online \http://www.fftimes.com/\, Marian Elizabeth Carmody (née Carroll) entered the Lords presence on May 15, 2000. She was born in Duluth, Mn. on April 14, 1923. Marian grew up in International Falls, Mn. and graduated from Falls High School. During World War II, she worked in the shipyards in Oakland, Calif. In 1945, Marian married Harold William Carmody and celebrated 55 years of marriage together. They are the parents of six children, four of whom are living, and they have six grandchildren. In 1955, they relocated to Chico, Calif. Harold and Marian, devout Catholics, attended St. John Baptist Catholic Church for more than 45 years, and enjoyed many Bingo games and activities with fellow parishioners. All four children graduated from Notre Dame Catholic School. Marians life-long career was being a loving wife and mother. A job well done. Marian is survived by her husband, Harold William Carmody; oldest daughter, Diana Lynn Bull and her husband, Harrison; son, Ronald Thomas Carmody, daughter, Janet Marie Harry and her husband, Jim; and youngest daughter, Terry Ann Knell and her husband, Jim. She also is survived by six grandchildren, Staci, Stephanie, Lori, Jimmy, Jason, and Jeffery; and two sisters, Katherine Allen and Ann Makidon, both life-long residents of International Falls, Mn. Private memorial services were held Wednesday, May 17 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, Calif. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to UC Davis Hospice Program or the Childrens Miracle Network, c/o Diana Bull at 1715 State St., Santa Barbara, Calif., 93101..
