Of the five daughters, Catherine, Margaret and Anna Maria spent their lives in Clermont County. Two removed to Indiana. Leah and her husband William Allen were in Cincinnati by 1830, and in Spencer County, Indiana, by 1840, removing after their daughter Louisa was born in 1837. Elizabeth, the eldest child of Daniel and Arietta, with her husband Daniel Davis were in Spencer County by 1850.
Leah's husband William Allen died in Spencer County in 1842 at about 41 years of age. He and Leah had six children. Leah then married George Young, and they had two sons. In the 1850 census for Spencer County, Leah's nephew Alexander, son of John Lawrence, was living with her family.
Of the six sons, four - James, Johnston, Daniel, and William A - remained in Ohio. Michael was in Spencer Co. by 1855, the year he married Elizabeth Wood. John Lawrence was still in Clermont Co. in 1853, when his son Charles was born. His wife, Frances Rusk, died in 1855. Then, before 1860, John Lawrence removed to Spencer Co. That year, he was residing in the house of his daughter Helen and her husband Wilfred Albert Abshire. The three youngest of John Lawrence's children were also in the household. Another of his children, James Walker, was reported in the family of John Lawrence's sister Leah. Alexander, who was with the Youngs in 1850, had married and remained in Spencer County. - [S19] 1860 U.S. Federal Census. Alfred (26), mill engineer, b. MO; Helen (20), b. OH.
