Whereas Richard Geist of Baltimore County in ye Province of Maryland and Zipporah Morray Sandy Spring Monthly Meeting Records, Call No. RG2/B/S361 3.3. Marriage Certificates of West Ri[sic] of the same county in the province aforesaid having declared their intentions of marriage ton [sic] Sundry times at severall public meetings of the people called Quakers in annarundell [sic] County wch. was approved by the said meetings—
Now these are to certifie all people whom it may concerne that for the full determining of the intentions aforesaid this seventh day of the tenth month called December anno: 1704 in an assembly of the people aforesaid at the meeting house of the said people in Baltimore County on the south side of Potaptsco River the said Richard Geist did there in the presence of God in that assembly stand up according to the example of the holy men of God in the Scripture of truth and declare as followeth friends in the presence of God and you his people I doo take Zipporah Murray to be my wife promising to be unto [her] a loving husband till Death us separate, — and the said Zipporah Morray did then and there declare as followeth friends in the presence of God and you his [people] doo take Richaed Geist to be my husband promising to be to him a loving and faithfull wife till death us separates And we who are hear present at their taking each other have heareunto set our hands as witnesses unto the saime the day and year aforesaid
