John Ezra Leeds was born March 4, 1822, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and here he was married to Rachel Bridges. To this union were born eight children: George, Charles, Mrs. G.E. Shelton, Lincoln, William, John, Edgar and Wright all of whom survive their father except William, who died twenty one years ago. The mother died twenty eight years ago next April. Mr. Leeds died February 18, 1916 at his home in east Nelson, having lived the unusual span of 93 years, 11 months and 4 days.
The funeral services occurred Sunday Morning at 9 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G.E. Shelton, being conducted by Rev. J.F. Green. The remains were laid to rest in Liberty Cemetery, near Deweese.

Edgar Leeds was born July 9, 1873, and passed away at the Good Samaritan home in Nelson Thursday, October 27, at the age of 93. Funeral services were held Friday, October 28 at the Klawitter Funeral home with Rev. Victor Schwarz officiating. Mr. Leeds was laid to rest in the Nelson cemetery beside his wife, who preceded him in death in 1946. A daughter, Ethel, also preceded him in death. His only survivor is a daughter, Hazel LeCombs, of Long Beach, California.
