Ann Simpson is almost certainly dau. of either Ignatius Simpson (more prob.) or Benjamin Simpson. Ignatius had a dau. b ca. 1816, and both had a dau. b. ca. 1820. In 1840, neis. of Benj. Ward and Ann Simpson were John Hesson and Nancy Ward, and Benjamin Simpson and Sally Roddy.3 
He was a witness Ignatius was a witness at Sarah's marriage; Ignatius and Benjamin (and John Hesson) were in Grass Tshp., Spencer Co., IN, 1830 census with Nancy _____ and Ignatius Simpson.2 
If it is the same Benjamin Simpson in both marriages below, then Peggy Griffy is the mother of all but one (and poss. all) of the children.
